Let me start by saying, I’m not quite sure why I called this t-shirt design, “Guitar Lovers”. I probably should have called it, Guitar in between praying Indian skeletons, or something along those lines. I suppose I was probably thinking that one of the most obvious, or standout features of this design was the emphasis on the GuitarLoversCustomTees.com web site address.
This particular Guitar t-shirt design has a bigger font than many of my other tees. Some may say that it’s an advertising trick, due to the prominence of the text displayed within the design. But to be totally honest with you, I kind of drew a blank as to what text to add to this one.
I guess you could say that I thought the design itself was so good that a slogan wasn’t really that necessary.
Okay, enough of my dilly-dallying, let’s get down to the design itself. As for the skeletons, they were actually part of a cross, so there were originally four of them. I deleted three, kept one, and after adding just the right amount of lighting, I duplicated it, so I could position one on the left and one on the right.
The original design came from a large tattoo flash artwork, and was quite elaborate. I borrowed a very small portion of this design, edited it to such a degree that it became its own entity.
Let’s get to the Guitar, which happens to be a very nice looking model with a vibrant wood finish. I added various effects to this Guitar such as inner glow, inner shadow, and outer glow. There is also some subtle lighting effects on it as well.
Lastly, and most importantly, I did a lot of positioning and repositioning of all of the elements, including the text, to get the design just right.
